Progress MS-33 is the first launch from Baikonur's repaired crew pad; crew docks it by hand
RoscosmosSoyuz MS & Progress MS
The Progress MS-33 cargo ship lifted off on a Soyuz-2.1a from Pad 6 at Site 31, the first launch since the pad's service platform collapsed in November 2025. One of its two Kurs rendezvous antennas failed to unfold, so cosmonaut Sergei Kud'-Sverchkov flew the final approach by remote control. It docked to the Poisk module on March 24 with about 2.7 tonnes of cargo.
- Launched three months after its pre-accident date.
- Cargo included 828 kg of propellant for the station, 420 kg of water and 393 kg of repair hardware.
- Docking completed at 16:46 Moscow time on March 24, 2026.
- The ship undocked and was deorbited over the Pacific on September 7, 2026.
