Pivot Bio cuts prices and increases production of its nitrogen products for spring planting
As global nitrogen fertilizer prices spiked and supply tightened, Pivot Bio lowered prices on its microbial nitrogen products for corn, cotton, sorghum and wheat while raising output at its St. Louis plant. CEO Chris Abbott said the company chose to reduce prices despite volatile global markets to stand alongside farmers during spring planting.
- Products adjusted include PROVEN 40 and G3 for corn, CERT-N for cotton, ACTION for sorghum, and RETURN for wheat.
- Domestic production allows Pivot Bio to ship products within 24 hours, contrasting with supply-chain delays affecting imported synthetic fertilizers.
- Global nitrogen disruptions created both demand and pricing opportunity for alternatives during a critical planting window.
