Navy formally opened Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Danville, Virginia. The facility supports submarine production through advanced manufacturing and non-destructive testing, with partnerships including Austal USA, Phillips, and others.

• Located at Institute for Advanced Learning and Research on Danville campus.
• Partners include Austal USA, Phillips, Industrial Inspection and Analysis, FasTech.
• Supports simultaneous production of Columbia-class and Virginia-class submarines.
