Microsoft announces Azure Cobalt 200 CPU with 132 ARM cores, 50% performance improvement
Microsoft announced Azure Cobalt 200, its second-generation custom ARM server processor for Azure cloud infrastructure. The chip features 132 ARM Neoverse V3 cores manufactured on TSMC's N3 process, delivering approximately 50% higher performance compared to Cobalt 100. Each core has 3MB of L2 cache, with 192MB of L3 system cache. The processor targets cloud-native and AI workloads.
