Lynas June-quarter NdPr falls to 1,857 t as Mt Weld ore variation and water plant issues slow output

Lynas made 1,857 tonnes of NdPr in the June 2026 quarter, down from 1,996 tonnes, after problems with Mt Weld's new water recycling plant and a change in ore that lowered concentrate quality. The weaker feed cut the productivity of cracking and leaching in Kalgoorlie and Kuantan. The water issues were fixed, and Kalgoorlie commissioned a continuous precipitation process.

• Total rare-earth oxide: 3,481 t; Dy and Tb: 19 t.
• A fixed crusher replaced a mobile one, reducing ore sorting before the mill.
• New fine-grinding mill due in Q1 FY27 to lift recoveries.
• Mt Weld hybrid power averaged 90% renewable in the quarter.
