Lockheed Martin and the Pentagon agree a framework to raise PAC-3 MSE output from 600 to 2,000 a year
Lockheed MartinPAC-3 MSE production ramp
Lockheed Martin signed a seven-year framework with the Department of War to more than triple capacity for PAC-3 MSE, the Patriot system's hit-to-kill interceptor. Long-term demand certainty is meant to justify the factory investment, with financing designed to keep initial cash neutral.
- Capacity to rise from about 600 to 2,000 interceptors a year.
- Lockheed delivered 620 PAC-3 MSEs in 2025, over 20% more than in 2024.
- Output had already risen more than 60% in two years.
- An initial contract was expected with final FY2026 appropriations.
