LG Energy Solution agrees a five-year deal to supply 4695 cells for the R2

LG Energy Solution agreed to supply Rivian with 67 GWh of 4695 cylindrical cells (46 mm diameter, 95 mm height) over five years for the R2 SUV. The cells will be made at LGES's Arizona plant and shipped to Rivian's Normal, Illinois factory, supporting the R2's planned first-half-2026 launch.
