KoBold Metals officially breaks ground on $2.3B+ Mingomba copper mine in Zambia
KoBold Metals held an official groundbreaking ceremony at the Mingomba mine site in Chililabombwe, Zambia, attended by President Hakainde Hichilema and U.S. Ambassador Michael C. Gonzales. The event marked the formal start of shaft construction, which will eventually employ ~700 Zambians and create one of Africa's largest copper sources once operational in the early 2030s.
