KAAN production prototype P1 cleared for first flight within weeks, says Turkish Aerospace chief
Turkish Aerospace general manager Mehmet Demiroglu said all system checks on prototype P1, the first built to the production design, were finished and it should fly within a few weeks. P2 has done slow taxi tests and could follow before the end of 2026. The company is shifting about 70% of parts and assembly to subcontractors to prepare for series production.
