Innoviz announces InnovizTwo lidar: 30x InnovizOne performance at 70% lower cost

Innoviz unveiled InnovizTwo, a 905 nm solid-state lidar it said delivers 30 times InnovizOne's performance at 70% lower cost. It claimed a 300 m maximum range, detection of dark objects at over 220 m in strong sun, and a 125 x 40 degree view, with perception software built in. InnovizOne, already in production, had been chosen by BMW.
- Native resolution 0.07 x 0.05 degrees, over 8,000 scan lines per second
- Automotive specs: ASIL B(D) functional safety, -40 to 85 °C
- Plan then: series production in 2022 for car programs due in 2023
