DePuy Synthes (J&J MedTech) announced FDA 510(k) clearance for VELYS SPINE, the company's first active robotic-assisted system for spinal fusion. The dual-use platform supports both standalone navigation and active robotics modes for cervical, thoracolumbar and sacroiliac fusion procedures. Developed in partnership with eCential Robotics, VELYS SPINE complements the VELYS knee arthroplasty system.
