FDA approves NeuroPace RNS System for drug-resistant focal epilepsy
NeuroPace received FDA premarket approval for the RNS System to treat adults with focal seizures that persist despite trying at least two anti-seizure medications. The device continuously monitors brain activity and delivers electrical stimulation when it detects seizure patterns, making it the first closed-loop neuromodulation therapy for epilepsy.
