Colibrium Additive awarded $31 million NAVAIR contract for metal additive manufacturing capability development
The US Navy's Naval Air Systems Command awarded Colibrium Additive a $31 million contract to accelerate testing, qualification and certification of metal additively manufactured parts for naval aviation. Under the agreement, Colibrium delivers three M Line laser powder bed fusion systems, one M2 Series 5 laser system, six metal alloy process packages (including expanded AlSi7Mg and IN718, plus new 17-4PH and 7050-RAM2 materials), process optimization, and comprehensive operator training.
