BMW begins iX3 pre-production at Debrecen, Hungary factory with 150,000 units/year capacity
BMW started pre-production of the iX3, the first Neue Klasse model, at its Debrecen plant in Hungary. The factory is built for renewable energy with on-site battery assembly, and is designed to produce up to 150,000 units per year. The iX3 will carry the entire Neue Klasse platform architecture and serve as the template for five more models across BMW's lineup by end of 2027.
