B-21 Raider makes its first flight, from Palmdale to Edwards Air Force Base

The first B-21 stealth bomber flew from Northrop's plant at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale to Edwards Air Force Base, where the flight test campaign is run. It came about a year after the bomber was shown to the public.

• First flight on 10 November 2023; unveiled in December 2022.
• Six test aircraft were in production at the time.
• The Air Force plans at least 100 bombers to replace the B-1 and B-2; Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, will be the first base.
• Northrop had warned its early production lots could lose up to $1.2B.
