AWS launches Graviton5: 192-core ARM server CPU on 3nm, 25% faster than Graviton4, M9g instances generally available

AmazonGraviton5

AWS made Graviton5-based EC2 instances (M9g and M9gd) generally available in June 2026. Graviton5 is a 192-core ARM processor on 3nm, running at 3.3 GHz with Armv9.2-A instruction set and Neoverse V3 architecture. It features 5x larger L3 cache than Graviton4 and 25% higher performance. PCIe Gen 6 and higher network/EBS bandwidth round out the improvements.

  • 192 cores, 3.3 GHz, 3nm process; Armv9.2-A ISA and Neoverse V3 architecture.
  • 25% performance improvement over Graviton4; 5x larger shared L3 cache.
  • PCIe Gen 6 support; up to 15% higher network bandwidth, up to 20% higher EBS bandwidth.
  • M9g/M9gd instances available June 2026; C9g (compute) and R9g (memory) planned for 2026.
