AQT's LYNX Series achieves Quantum Volume 32,768, setting European record

Alpine Quantum Technologies (AQT)LYNX Series

Alpine Quantum Technologies unveiled its LYNX Series, achieving Quantum Volume 32,768 through a fully connected 15-qubit calcium-40 ion trap register. This represents a 256-fold performance increase over the prior IBEX series and is the highest QV for any quantum computer designed and built in Europe. The rack-mounted systems require no specialized cryogenic infrastructure and will be available to select strategic partners starting in Q4 2026.

  • LYNX achieved QV of 32,768 using a 15-qubit fully connected calcium-40 ion trap
  • Mean Heavy Output Probability of 0.678 across 305 random circuits with 100 shots each
  • 256-fold improvement over previous IBEX series; second-highest QV globally
  • Fits in standard 19-inch rack; requires only internal cryogenic cooling
  • Accessible via AQT Cloud and partner networks; broader availability planned for 2027
