ABB Robotics plans Sabadell technology and operations center for 2028
ABB Robotics plans a new technology and operations center in Sabadell, near Barcelona, opening in 2028. The building of about 15,000 square meters will consolidate robotics operations for Spain and Portugal and host global centers for automotive solutions and service robotics.
- The center will focus on machine vision, software and autonomous mobile robots, which the company frames as physical AI.
- Marc Segura, president of ABB Robotics, presented the project.
- The company also plans closer ties with universities, technology centers and training bodies.
- No investment figure or headcount was given, and the site within Sabadell was not named.
- It is a 2028 plan, not a finished facility.
