Physics limits

Two legs are never at restA biped balances on a small footprint and must keep correcting itself; any fault in power or control ends in a fall, unlike wheeled robots that can just stop.
Small robots are weakMotor force grows with motor size, and a child-sized frame has little room for big motors, so small humanoids trade strength and reach for safety and cost.
Battery weight caps runtimeLithium-ion cells store roughly 250 Wh per kg. Adding battery for longer runtime adds weight the legs must carry, so runtime improves only slowly.

Child-sized, low weight

Short limbs and low mass mean smaller motors, cheaper parts and gentler falls, which matters for robots that fall often while learning.

Brain

Onboard NVIDIA computer

A head depth camera feeds an onboard NVIDIA module that runs vision and walking control, so the robot needs no tether or cloud link.

Skills

Trained in simulation

Walking and kicking policies are trained in physics simulators, then transferred to the real robot with Booster Studio and ROS 2.
