Technical approach
Nolans carbonatite deposit
The Nolans deposit near Alice Springs is a carbonatite complex containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and other rare earths as primary ore minerals.
Open-pit mining
Nolans will be mined as an open pit with conventional mining methods. The ore is extracted and initially concentrated on site.
Integrated refinery
On-site hydrochloric acid leaching and ion-exchange produce rare-earth oxides.
