Q1 2026Full Nemyx integration with Ukrainian partners (next)
Current obstacles
Electronic jamming from adversariesIn Ukraine, Russian forces jam drone command links; Auterion's systems must operate autonomously or via resilient low-bandwidth links.
Platform heterogeneityUkrainian forces use drones from many sources; getting them to work as one swarm requires software that adapts to different hardware.
Physics limits
Radio range and latencyEven encrypted, secure comms have propagation limits; swarms operating beyond line-of-sight rely entirely on on-board AI, which has limits on complexity.
Swarm size vs. coordination complexityAs drone counts grow, coordination algorithms become exponentially harder; real-time swarm decisions at 100+ drones hit computation limits.
How it works
3 parts
Flight
Hardware-agnostic autopilot
AuterionOS runs on Pixhawk boards, letting any drone with that standard compute platform fly autonomously.
Targeting
Jamming-resistant AI
Skynode adds on-board AI target detection, encrypted radio resistant to jamming, and autonomous engagement.
Coordination
Swarm tactics
Nemyx orchestrates multi-drone formations from different makers to engage objectives in parallel and scale from squads to wings.

Drone autopilot, AuterionOS, swarm control, AI defense
Auterion develops AuterionOS, a commercial autopilot for autonomous drones, and Nemyx, a swarm-control system that coordinates drones from multiple manufacturers. Founded in 2017 at ETH Zurich, Auterion now builds defense systems deployed in Ukraine with Pentagon funding.
Auterion won $50M Pentagon contract for 33,000 Skynode strike kits delivered to Ukraine; largest Western drone deal by unit.
Raised $130M Series B (2025), including $25M from U.S. Department of Defense; Nemyx swarm-control system launched.
AuterionOS autopilot runs on any Pixhawk-compatible drone; Nemyx coordinates multi-vendor swarms for AI-targeting.
