• Human aging is slow to measurePeople age over decades. A trial proving longer healthy life would need thousands of people followed for 10 years or more, so most funded work relies on stand-in measures.
• Aging clocks are not yet provenDNA-tag clocks predict death risk, but lowering a clock hasn't been shown to extend life, and different clocks often disagree on the same person.
• Lab animals age differentlyMost lifespan results come from worms, flies and mice that live weeks to about 3 years. Many interventions that work there have failed in people.
