The brief
- Raised $290M in September 2025 at a $2.3B valuation, led by Rochefort Asset Management.
- Defense is now the main growth driver: General Atomics, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon. An Oklahoma factory is planned.
- Revenue reportedly grew about fivefold in the year before the raise.
Technical approach
Software designs the parts
Engineers set the loads; software draws light, organic shapes that could never be cast or cut, and plans how to print and assemble them.
Laser-printed metal joints
Multi-laser printers melt aluminium powder into the joints, using alloys Divergent developed itself.
Robots, no jigs
Robots hold, line up and glue the printed joints and tubes, so no product-specific fixtures are needed.
No tooling to pay for
A design change is just a new file, so switching products costs almost nothing. Best for small runs like hypercars and missiles.

Open technical problems
- Cost at car-factory volumesActive research
Laser printing is still expensive per kilo. Beating casting at hundreds of thousands of cars a year needs much faster printers.
- Proving printed parts are safePartially solved
Aerospace and defense buyers must certify each alloy and machine, and every build has to come out the same.
