Universal Robots launched the AI Accelerator, a ready-to-use hardware and software kit for building AI applications on its cobots. It pairs an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin computer and NVIDIA's Isaac robot-AI libraries with a new Orbbec 3D camera, running on UR's PolyScope X software. It gives integrators a common base for AI cells instead of each building its own.

## Key facts

- Built-in demos: pose estimation, tracking, object detection, path planning, image classification, quality inspection.
- Uses NVIDIA Isaac Manipulator; developers can pick their own languages and libraries.
- PolyScope X is available globally; e-Series, UR20 and UR30 need a small hardware upgrade to run it.
- Teradyne's Chief AI Officer James Davidson called it the first of a series of AI-powered products.
