# OpenAI releases GPT-6 Astra, its new top model, first to a limited set of organisations

OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Astra, which it called its most capable and best-aligned model, leading on computer use, coding, cybersecurity and science tests. It rolled out to a limited set of organisations first, then to paid ChatGPT plans, the API, Azure and AWS. OpenAI said it tested Astra against going beyond an assigned task, a check added after the Hugging Face incident.
