At the OCP Global Summit NVIDIA contributed its Vera Rubin rack and compute-tray designs to the Open Compute Project through its open MGX architecture, along with a Vera CPU rack spec aimed at agentic AI. The move pushes shared standards for AI factories so other vendors and operators can build around the same hardware and software layers.

## Key facts

- MGX 1.2 adds blind-mate liquid cooling, a liquid-cooled 5,000A busbar and rack deployments up to 250kW
- Open source DSX OS components cover switch configuration, GPU cluster stress testing, rack firmware and bare-metal deployment
- Meta is adopting Spectrum-6 102.4Tb/s Ethernet switches for its Vera Rubin AI factories, with up to eight network planes
- Several items are plans or future support, such as the USFP optical form factor and Visionbay K-1, and no shipping dates were given
