# Lido's Simple DVT module, built on Obol and SSV distributed validators, opens Lido to solo and community stakers

Approved by an on-chain vote in February 2024, Simple DVT is Lido's second staking module and the first that lets solo and community stakers run Lido validators, in clusters using distributed validator technology from Obol and SSV.

- Initially capped at 0.5% of Lido's stake; new deposits go to Simple DVT first.
- SSV's network fee: 0.5% of staking rewards, rising to 1% after two years; year one covered by an SSV DAO grant.
- Lido targeted 60–80 mainnet DVT clusters in 2024.
