# Judge lets Upside and Wildtype's challenge to Texas's cultivated-meat ban go ahead, but keeps the ban in force

US District Judge Alan Albright refused Texas's request to dismiss the lawsuit, letting it proceed on the claim that the ban unlawfully restricts trade between states. He also declined a preliminary injunction, so the ban stays in effect while the case continues.
