# Emirates' first 777-9 leaves final assembly in Everett ahead of painting

The first 777-9 for Emirates, the program's largest customer with 270 on order, rolled out of assembly in Everett in green primer. Painting, interiors and testing come next, and delivery still depends on FAA certification. Emirates' president said in June he expects the first aircraft in May or June 2027.
