# DTCC processes live US trades using tokenized DTC assets with more than 30 firms

DTCC converted assets held at The Depository Trust Company into tokens and used them in real production trades on 15 July 2026. More than 30 firms from traditional finance and digital markets took part, on DTCC's private Besu network and the public Canton network. DTCC says the DTCC Tokenization Service is expected to launch in October 2026.
