Stage: Pilot (3 of 5: Research → Proto → Pilot → Deploy → Scaling)
Updated: last update 2026-07-01, facts checked 2026-10-11
Goal: Take the daily chores of laundry and tidying off people's hands with a robot priced like a household appliance. Doing it in real homes also produces the data needed to make home robots fully autonomous.
Status: On pre-order at $7,999; first deliveries in California from fall 2026, wider US through 2027.
Next milestone: First Isaac 1 deliveries in California, target Q4 2026

## Upcoming events

- **Q4 2026**: First Isaac 1 deliveries in California
- **2027**: Broader US availability

## Most important updates

- **1 Jul 2026**: Weave unveils Isaac 1, a mobile home robot for laundry and tidying, at $7,999. Weave opened pre-orders for Isaac 1, a wheeled robot with two arms and a collapsible torso that collects and folds laundry, makes beds and tidies clutter. - **11 Feb 2026**: Weave starts shipping Isaac 0, a $7,999 laundry-folding robot, in the Bay Area. Weave's first product, Isaac 0, is a stationary two-armed robot that folds laundry at home. ## Current obstacles

- **Reliance on remote operators**: Isaac 0 still needs 5-10 second human takeovers when stuck; true autonomy is what makes the business scale.
- **Delivering on time**: The original mobile Isaac missed its 2025 target; Isaac 1 deliveries from fall 2026 will test whether the hardware is ready.

## Physics limits

- **Deformable objects**: Cloth has no fixed shape, so a robot cannot simply recognise and grasp it; it must infer the hidden layout of a crumpled garment from what the camera sees.
- **Every home is different**: Layouts, lighting and clutter vary endlessly, so skills learned in one home transfer imperfectly; data from many real homes is the only known fix.

## How it works

### Body: Wheels, two arms, a telescoping torso

A wheeled base carries two arms on a torso that extends to reach shelves and beds and shrinks when idle.

### Tasks: Laundry Flow and Daily Reset

Two routines: find, fold and put away clothes (and load a washer or dryer in some homes); make beds and return toys and shoes to place.

### Control: Phone app, on demand or scheduled

Owners start tasks from an app or schedule them; the robot plans and moves on its own using cameras and onboard AI.

### Remote assist: A human steps in when stuck

If an item, room or task confuses it, a remote Weave operator takes control briefly to finish, then hands back.

## About Weave Robotics

San Francisco startup (Y Combinator, Summer 2024) founded by Kaan Dogrusoz and Evan Wineland, a former lead AI product manager at Apple. It sells home robots that fold laundry and tidy, with remote human help when the robot gets stuck.

- Isaac 0, a stationary laundry folder, is shipping in California; Isaac 1, a mobile tidying robot, ships from fall 2026.
- Isaac 1 costs $7,999 or $449 a month, among the first general home robots with a public price and date.
- Autonomous by default; a Weave operator takes over remotely for moments the robot cannot handle.
