Partior is a Singapore company, founded by DBS, J.P. Morgan and Temasek and joined by Standard Chartered and Deutsche Bank, that runs a shared ledger on which banks settle cross-border payments in tokenised commercial-bank money, around the clock.

## In brief

- Live in USD, EUR and SGD; 10 more currencies planned (Nov 2024).
- Processed over $1B of transactions by Nov 2024; 2023 revenue was only $285,000.
- Partnering with LSEG's DiSH for 24/7 multi-bank settlement liquidity, go-live from Q1 2027.

## Facts

- Headquarters: SG

## Programs

- [Partior settlement network](https://technooptimist.io/crypto/partior-network.md) (Crypto): Deploy; next: LSEG DiSH collaboration announced; industry testing (17 Sep 2026). Live in USD, EUR and SGD; LSEG DiSH multi-bank liquidity in testing for go-live from Q1 2027.

## Technical approach

- **Shared ledger: One record instead of many**: Banks keep balances on one blockchain ledger instead of mirrored correspondent accounts that must be reconciled.
- **Atomic: Both legs or neither**: FX trades settle payment-versus-payment: both currencies move in the same instant or not at all, removing settlement risk.
- **Bank money: Tokenised deposits, not stablecoins**: Balances are claims on regulated settlement banks such as Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan, not on a crypto issuer.

## Open problems

- **Turning pilots into volume** (open): Big-bank backing has not yet produced big flows: $1B processed by late 2024 is tiny next to correspondent banking.
- **Liquidity outside business hours** (active research): Banks must pre-fund accounts for nights and weekends; the LSEG DiSH tie-up aims to remove that from 2027.

## Upcoming

- **Q1 2027**: Partior–LSEG DiSH multi-settlement-bank go-live (Partior settlement network)
